The food options felt repetitive and did not meet the four-star expectations. The loud entertainment in the show bar.

Marvellous, excellent location on those later stops. Good rooms and super with a huge bathroom, hanging things plus an extra bed.

We were there for 6 nights, overall had a VERY LOVELY stay. The location in a very quite area of Almunecar was magnificent for us. Casa Antonio, where you can eat excellent food, was set 5 minutes walk away.

The infinity pool is very nice, offering fine views and a spacious area to unwind. The room provided a fantastic sea view from the balcony, where I enjoyed relaxing evenings. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of options including champagne and churros.
Some areas felt a little dated.

Great view from the room over the pool directly into the sea
Unfortunately there were a lot of jellyfish on the beaches, we stayed at the pool.

Spacious room, great pool. We were able to use this for recreation after our hikes.
Once the room wasn't cleaned, we could get over it.

The pool area was fine, heaps of space to relax. But the food could've done with more variety, and the staff weren't that friendly at reception, ay?

The infinity pool and the landscapping even thou all the fountains were switched off and the position of the hotel the room was nice and well equiped.but laking in toiletries for 4 star.
The dinning room and the food was not nice and the plates were not washed properly chipped glasses and cracked cups sloppy run operation it let down the hotel , for that reason I would not go again, our saving grace was the Calaballo Restaurante below ,the hotel

Great pools and slides for children, good breakfast, friendly staff, great lobby = a hall which is 4 floors high, beautiful beaches to the left and right of the hotel there are good restaurants where you can sit and eat at the sea in the evening.
The ambience of the restaurant was bad, who likes a nice atmosphere in the evening should only book breakfast.

The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, perfect for our family, and having a toddler with us made the close proximity to a lovely Italian restaurant super convenient for quick meals.
My kids wished the entertainment was more engaging.

This is supposed to be a luxury hotel. They certainly charge luxury prices especially at the weekend when we found the price doubled. The hotel boasts 2 luxurious buffet restaurants but says that both restaurants are only open during peak season. It does not mention that the a la carte restaurant is closed unless they have 80% occupancy so you end up with buffet every night which is very average to say the least. In fact most of the hotel facilities are closed unless they have 80% occupancy. It's as if they decide that it's not worth making the effort unless they are 80% full which with the Spanish currently in recession will not be easy. To say that this hotel is big is an understatement. I've stayed at smaller hotels in Vegas.
The 2 ice machines were broken. It advertises air-conditioned rooms but we went at the beginning of May and they hadn’t turned it on. It was hot! The hotel is designed as a castle square with two outdoors pool arrangements. The one inside the hotel walls is a huge labyrinth of themed pools which kids will love. Outside to the back of the hotel is one of the best looking infinity pools I’ve seen. The problem with the infinity pool is the bar is closed unless 80% full. You have to long walk back through the hotel and out to the only bar which is open. The daytime or evening entertainment is non existent unless it’s 80% full unless you count bingo as entertainment! Oh and you really will have trouble finding it even with satnav.

The room was good and the swimming pools and surrounds were very good.
There were only buffet restaurants open and no opportunity for a light meal.

The best for us was the large out-door pool.
The hotel name indicates spa and Luxury and we expected a quite, comfortable and wellnes oriented hotel. But we missed all of it. It might be a perfect hotel for large families which looks for "all inclusive" and likes to enjoy (and make) loud noise - not only by children. Unflexable stuff, Mini Save only available against 4,30 Euor per day made our stay not very enjoyable.

The pools were fine with views, and staff were friendly. Wine choices were excellent, and the snack bar had a great selection of light bites. Lounging by the infinity pool was a highlight, but the evening entertainment felt a bit too focused on french.
more variety in dining would enhance the experience.
